Reporting - What happened?

All my reports only collapse completely or expand to the account level.  Super annoying!

Reporting - What happened?

I regret hearing about your frustrating experience, @Peggy4. Please know that this is not the level of service we strive to provide. I fully understand how beneficial it would be to have the report function as it was previously in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
 

As I've checked, there is an ongoing investigation into the reports collapsing or expanding only to the account level. Our engineering team is currently looking into the issues you are encountering. If you haven't already reached out to our phone support, I suggest doing so. This will enable them to include you in the list of affected users and notify you via email once the issue is resolved.

 

To get help with your QuickBooks Desktop software, please follow these steps:
 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then click QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  3. Choose Contact Us.
  4. Provide a brief description of the issue, then click Continue.
  5. Sign in to your Intuit account, select Continue, and Continue with my account.
  6. Enter the single-use code that will be sent to your email, then click Continue.
  7. Select to chat with us or Have us call you.

Reporting - What happened?

It's a bug in the latest 'improvements' to reports. It looks like no one tested those changes, as there are many people reporting several issues with it, though Intuit reps here like to pretend there's no issue.
