In QBO Plus, is there a way to customize a report that shows transactions without an attachment?   I can view the list of expenses that show with or without attachments.  I still must scroll through the list (same as scrolling the registers.  It would save time if I could create a saved customized report that uses date ranges by columns & filters for credit cards receipts/attachments. 

 

I would appreciate your help or advice on this.

Aside from getting a report that lets you view all the transactions with attachments and the ones that don't, you also have the option to export those transactions that don't to get all the data in one. I'll show you how.

 

To see the list of expense transactions that don't have attachments, you can follow these steps:

  1. Click Expenses, then go to the Expenses tab.
  2. Click the Gear icon above the ACTION column.
  3. Tick the Attachments box.

 

To see the sales transactions without attachments, here's how:

  1. Click Sales, then go to the All Sales tab.
  2. Click the Gear icon above the ACTION column, 
  3. Tick the Attachments box.

 

Then, export these list to get a better view of the sales and expense transactions that don't have attachments. 

 

For future reference, you'll want to memorize to save your customized report. Check out this link for further instructios: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

I accept your solution to my question.  However, your solution is not helpful.  I can scroll through the check register for the month to find the expenses without attachments.   I will continue this process and type out my requests to my client manually.
