Sales Order by Rep - Report

Hello, 

 

I need to run a report for open Sales Orders by Rep. The purpose of this report is to tell me what Sales Orders have been created by a particular sales Rep, so we can identify the ones which have not yet been invoiced. 

 

The Sales by Rep report is great, but it only shows 'Invoiced' items under Type in the far left column, and as far as I can tell, there is no way to customize what is displayed under Type?

Hello there, ECIrichj. Hope you're doing fine today.

 

Let's get the sales order shows in the Sales by Rep Detail report in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

It requires a bit more effort on our part to display the sales order transactions. We might have missed to include the non-posting option in the report. That's why the sales order transactions are not showing. We can customize the report to get the necessary information that we need. To do so, follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Under Sales, select Sales by Rep Detail.
  3. In the Display section, make sure to only tick the details you need to generate.
  4. In the Filters section, include the following:
    Search for Rep: Select Multiple sales rep and put a check to all sales rep you want. Then, OK.

    Search for Transaction Type: Select Sales Order. Then, OK.

    Search for Posting Status: You can select Either or Non-Posting. This way, the invoice and sales order will show up. Still, you can only select Non-Posting since the sales orders are the non-posting type of transactions.
  5. Set the correct dates.
  6. Click OK. Then, Refresh to reflect the changes.
