unable to edit report group name

Hi there

For a few weeks now, I have not been able to change the group name for reports. No matter which browser I use, the system just hangs.

Is there a glitch?

Hi  Candice

I only have two report groups. It is a problem for both of them. I can neither change the name of the group nor generate the group from that line. I have to run each report individually.

You may be experiencing some browser-related issues. Let's fix this by performing some troubleshooting steps.

 

To begin with, let's edit the report name on an incognito window. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to open one:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge & Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Control + Option + P

 

If you can modify the name, you can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. Piled cache can also be the reason for some unexpected issues in QuickBooks. You can also use a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.

Good thought, but that didn't work. Now I also can't run the reports as a group. The attached image shows the error. I have tried this on four browsers. It's been happening for a few weeks. I'm glad I have embraced Management Reports

Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community! I was able to find an investigation on this matter. The Investigation is INV-96785, and the status is still in progress to finding a solution.  I recommend connecting with us to be added to the list of affected users. Here's how:

 

  1. Within your QuickBooks Desktop, click Help at the top menu bar.
  2. Enter a brief description of your concern then click Contact Us.
  3. To the correct support expert, we need to know what type of question you have. Give a brief description of your issue and click Continue.
  4. We’ll provide you with a few options. You choose which one is best for you.
