Where are "reports"?

I used to be able to click on "reports" for a list of reports I could run. Where did this go? Thanks for any guidance.

Where are "reports"?

Let's configure the account view to fix the issue, SM1970.

There are two ways in which the navigation bar is displayed QuickBooks Online (QBO). The Business view enables you to perform accounting without having to learn complicated accounting terms or processes. When your company is set to the view mentioned, you'll have to click the Business overview menu on the left panel to access the Reports tab. bc.pngbc.png

The Accountant view gives you complete control over features and utilizes standard accounting terminology. You'll see the following menus: ac.png

Let's switch from the Business view to the Accountant view to automatically see the Reports menu. Here's how:

  1. In your company, tap the Gear icon at the top to see more options.
  2. From there, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click the Switch to Account view link.aa.png

For more in-depth information, check out the following guide: Switch between Business and Accountant views in QuickBooks Online. It describes the differences between each functionality.

If none of these suggestions work, open your QuickBooks in private browsing or incognito mode. This will open your account with a clean slate and load fresh data.

Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If this works, clear your browser's cache and cookies to free up space and correct the unexpected behavior. Otherwise, use a supported browser to see if the current one is the problem.

You can review the following resources to get acclimated with how the tabs on your Home Dashboard function:

If you require further information on any accounting processes or run into any issues when using QBO, feel free to browse the Community guide. There, you'll find answers and topics about payroll, taxes, account management, reports, and other accounting-related processes.

Reach out to me again if you have other product concerns or additional questions about reports. I'd be glad to lend a helping hand. Stay safe and have a great day.
