Hi All,
In Curacao and St.Martin (Dutch side) we just changed currencies as of april. Before we used ANG (Antillean Guilder). Now this has been change to Caribbean Guilder (XCG). The ratio is 1:1.
When will this currency be changed in QBO?
Kind regards,
Kair [Last name removed]
I acknowledge your time raising this concern about the switch to the Caribbean Guilder (XCG) currency in Curacao, Jair. Effective March 31, 2025, Curacao will be migrating currency from Antillean Guilder (ANG) to Carribean Guilder.
The option to change the currency is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. However, we'll let you know as soon as we have more information.
You can still handle transactions with international suppliers, customers, or employees using the multi-currency feature to invoice, receive payments, and manage expenses in different global currencies.
Lastly, I'll do suggest contacting our QBO Live Expert Support Team to better check further, and assess this case. They can also update you time to time if there will be new updates about this changes in currency.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work on this change. We're here to help make sure your financial activities continue to run smoothly.
Hi,

Don't expect too much. I'm sure this issue is not their top priority to fix. If the currency symbol is critical for your business, I would recommend to convert your data to another accounting app.

In the meantime all platforms have switched to XCG. It is not even possible anymore to pay with ANG on the islands. QBO is the only accounting software in which it is not possible to choose of switch to XCG which is very frustrating and unprofessional towards my clients. Every week I get the same update: We are working on it but a clear answer is still not available. Would appreciate if some progress is possible. Some of my clients already asked to switch to another software..
