If I already have an account set up, how do I link to the same user ID so that I can easily switch between accounts? I have two accounts under the same user ID and one account under a different user ID. All of these accounts are separate companies. However, I would like to easily switch between accounts. I know you can use the same user ID when setting up a new account, but what if the account is already up and running and you want to link it to that user ID?

Then, follow the on-screen instructions on how to create a new company file. Once done, go to the Gear or Settings ⚙ icon, and then select Switch company.

You can also use your main browser and private/incognito browser to open multiple QBO accounts at the same time. So, if you have Edge, Chrome, and Firefox, you can open up to 6 accounts at the same time.
