Currently, we don't have the option to file GST returns within QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, you can download or export the reports to serve as your reference when filing them outside the program. For more information, see this article's Filing GST returns section: How GST Impacts QuickBooks Users. It also contains answers to the frequently asked questions (FAQs) about GST.
To run and download the GST reports:
Go to the Home page.
Select Reports from the left menu and click the All tab.
Click the Export icon and choose your preferred option.
Repeat the process for other GSTR reports.
The screenshot below shows you the fifth to eight steps. To learn more about the process above, check out this article: GST Reports In QuickBooks.
Also, we have a new feature that only applies to GSTR-1 to simplify its filing. You can click the "Save GSTR-1 on GST portal"button, as seen in the screenshot below. Please keep in mind that the program won't capture some of the data, such as tables 10, 11, and 13. Thus, you'll need to manually enter them directly into the GST portal and file them. For more details, view this article's GSTR 1 Save section: Know More About GSTR-1 Summary And Detailed Reports.
Lastly, I recommend watching these video tutorials to help you effectively manage GST in QBO.
