Invoice Help while Quickbooks is Broken

Does anyone have any ideas of any workarounds for converting estimates to invoices while Quickbooks Online is broken? We’re going on almost two weeks without being able to convert any estimates to invoices. We have customers calling asking for their invoices, ready to pay us, and we can’t do anything because Quickbooks is broken. It’s hard to make money when Quickbooks won’t let us invoice customers. Please somebody help me! QB is just telling me we have to wait until July 31 for any updates, let alone getting it fixed, and we need to make enough money to pay our employees this week. Help!

Two weeks without being able to invoice is a serious problem, and your urgency makes total sense. Since the estimate-to-invoice conversion is currently unavailable, we recommend creating invoices manually in the meantime so your business keeps moving while we wait for the fix on July 31.

Here's how:

  1. Open two browser windows side by side, with the estimate on one side and the new invoice on the other for easy reference.
  2. Go to the + Create icon.
  3. Select Invoice and manually enter the details from your estimate.
  4. Click Review and Send to deliver the invoice directly to your customer.

Once the underlying issue is resolved, you can convert the original estimates into invoices, then adjust or void the manual ones to keep your records clean.

We hope the workaround helps keep things running smoothly until then. As always, we're here to help.
