Question

quickbooks will not sync with bank account

MCredit Union account stopped syncing with quickbooks a while ago. I was able to still get the info by updating my login info. Now nothing works. I emptied my cache. I contacted my Bank and there are no issues on their side. What can I do other than constantly export the data myself?

Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser.

I tried this and it makes no difference.

Have you tried the manual update in QuickBooks to get the recent transactions from your bank? If you haven't already, just follow these steps:

  1. Go to All apps, then click on the Accounting dropdown.
  2. Select Bank transactions.
  3. Click on the bank account that needs the transaction updates.
  4. Hit the Update option.

Please note that while most banks sync with QuickBooks every 24 hours, timing can vary. Also, QuickBooks can only pull posted transactions, not pending ones.

Let me know if you have any other concerns.

Yes thank you. I have been manually adding the transactions. I just don't understand why I will not sync at all.

I hear you. To help streamline the process, may I ask the name of your financial institution, and if you encounter any errors when syncing your bank?

When connecting, make sure to select the correct listing, as your bank may appear under different names. You can use your bank's sign-in URL to help find the correct one. If you still can't connect after trying these steps, or if your bank isn't listed, please request support for your bank.
