You can create an open invoice by going to the + New icon in your QBO account.

Here’s how:

Go to the + New icon, then select Invoice.
In the Customer field, click the drop-down menu, and then choose the name of your customer.
Make sure to choose the correct Invoice date, Due date, and Terms.
Enter the correct PRODUCT/SERVICE, DESCRIPTION, and AMOUNT.
Input the QTY (quantity), RATE, and SALES TAX if needed.
Then click Save and close.

Once done, you can view the invoice you’ve created in the Customers tab.
