Hi there, Nerdy.

I understand that you need to activate your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Pro. I’ll explain the common reasons this error occurs and provide a solution to help you fix it.

Before we proceed, could you please let me know which version of QBDT Pro you are using? This information will help us determine whether your version still supports online activation.

The "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" error usually happens due to internet connection issues within QuickBooks Desktop. Even if your computer is connected to the internet, QuickBooks might not be able to access it properly.

To fix this, download the QuickBooks Tool Hub and run the Quick Fix tool to close any background processes and perform a quick repair on your program. For the best experience, we recommend using Tool Hub on Windows 10, 64-bit.

Here’s how:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the latest version (1.6.0.8) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file in a location that is easy to find, such as your Downloads folder or desktop. If you’ve installed the Tool Hub before, you can check your version by selecting the Home tab, and the version number will appear at the bottom.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the installation is complete, double-click the Tool Hub icon on your desktop to open it.

After installing, follow these steps to run Quick Fix from the Tool Hub:

  1. In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, select Program Problems.
  2. Click Quick Fix my Program.
  3. When the tool finishes, open QuickBooks Desktop, then open your company file and try to activate again.

You should now be all set to use QuickBooks. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
