How can I block Intuit ads from continuously popping up while using quickbooks?

Since QuickBooks is a product we pay for, there should be a way to stop the continuous ads trying to upsell on Payroll etc. from posing up on every other page.
Please help!

QuickBooks Online doesn't have a setting that stops ads, like Payroll promotions, from appearing across pages, as these prompts are used to help you stay updated on new features and offers for improving your QuickBooks experience and capabilities.

Step 1: Dismiss each one as it appears

Select the X or No, thanks option to close a message for your current session.

Step 2: Ask for a permanent opt-out or a "don't show again" option

If what you want is a lasting fix rather than a workaround, put that request directly in front of the team that decides what gets built.

  1. Go to Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Describe what you'd like to see, for example a permanent opt-out or a "don't show this again" option after an ad has been dismissed once.
  4. Select Next to submit.

Feedback that specifically asks for a permanent dismiss option is the clearest way to get that in front of the people who can build it.

Hello, @ARK23.

I'm here to share details about the displayed ads in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

These ads are designed to guide and suggest how you can optimize your QBO experience. Currently, we don't have the option to completely stop the ads from popping up. You can continue using the X or No, thanks to buttons. This way, the pop-ups will keep from showing up again.

If you're using Google Chrome, you can follow this article to guide you on how to block the ads: Block certain ads.

Additionally, you can enable the pop-up blocker in your browser. I'll show you how.

  1. Click the lock icon to the left of the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings (Google Chrome) or Permission for this site (Mozilla browser).
  3. Hover to the Pop-ups and redirects section, and choose Block from the drop-down menu.

Here's how for the Safari browser:

  1. Open your Safari browser.
  2. Click Safari, then Preferences.
  3. Select Websites at the top
  4. Click Pop-up Windows on the left sidebar
  5. Then select Block in the pop-up menu for the website.

For more tips and other resources you can use in the future, I recommend visiting our website: Self-help articles.

I'm only a few clicks away if you have additional questions about this or anything else QuickBooks. I'll be here to assist. Take care always.

Please submit a formal request to have the ability to turn off all Intuit ads or at least provide a Do Not Show this Ad Again option after showing an ad once.   It is very annoying and reduces productivity.

I agree - it seems Intuit marketing has a little too much influence over product functionality. You already have our email addresses and you can include a nice neat button to see "productivity suggestions" - slapping us in the face while we are working is an insult and counter to your advertised mission.  I'm within my refund period and if there is no way to stop this I will just return to my QB Desktop 2017 and start searching for another solution.

Desktop is no better.  they have a message about a "SALE" to move to QBO.  There is a checkbox that says "Do not show this message again" but it does not matter if it is checked or not when you dismiss it, they will show the box every time you start QB desktop.  Since they cannot get a simple checkbox to work, you begin to wonder how many other things in the program are failing and you do not know it.

This is very poor and unprofessional of QuickBooks, both that they are continually in your face about upgrading, then not listening to feedback. Maybe it would help them listen if we all post on Google reviews and Trustpilot. If QuickBooks don't stop this then it may be time to move to Xero.

Wanna hear something funny?  I went to support and asked for a credit and they said no and gave me the link to this thread.  Apparently, this is a joke for QB and they wanted to let me know the most passive aggressively way.
