Payroll

I didn't update my payroll info by Sept 30 because I don't use direct deposit.  Now it wants me to update my payroll info, but the error won't go away and I can't print my W2s.  I have Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2019.

Thank you

Thank you for the screenshot, Natvnyr6.

You don't need to update your payroll information since you won't use direct deposit. Also, you'll get this error since your direct deposit has an existing issue.

If you need to get rid of the error, I recommend requesting a callback from our QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Team. They need to collect some information and help enable the direct deposit pay when needed.

Here's how to get a callback.

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Enter your concern, then select Continue.
  5. Choose Get a callback from an expert (availability may be limited).

In case you need to use the direct deposit pay again, here's how to update the information: Understand why you need to update your account info for payroll.

Get back to me if you have additional questions about the error when updating payroll. I'm always around to help you.
