Quickbooks desktop 2024

I upgraded to QuickBooks desktop 2024. Now when I try to do an online backup, nothing happens. I click the create online backup button and no windows pop up. The icon spins for a second and then nothing else happens. Anyone?

I understand the importance of backing up your QuickBooks Desktop company seamlessly. To help you achieve this, here are some solutions you can do that will help you solve this issue.

 

  • Make sure the Windows firewall isn't blocking Intuit Data Protect.
  • Make sure IBuEngHost.exe isn't running as a Windows user.
  • Make sure QuickBooks Desktop and Intuit Data Protect are updated.
  • Use the Intuit Data Protect Diagnostic Tool.
  • Free up storage in Intuit Data Protect.

Getting Message.  A payment I ‘m trying to download can’t be matched it does match the amount customer owes??  How do I handle this??

Although the downloaded transaction matches the amount the customer owes, QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) may not match it if the transaction number, date, or name differs.


To fix this, ensure that all details in your QBDT records align with your downloaded transaction. Find the transaction in the software and edit it to match your bank records. Only proceed when you are certain that you have identified the exact matching transaction in QuickBooks.

 

Furthermore, if a downloaded transaction matches an already reconciled transaction, QBDT won't match them. Reconciled transactions are indicated by a checkmark in the CLR column.
