Gocardless Deposits not being created since 24/04/26

Hi, is anyone else who uses the GoCardless integration finding that the deposits aren't being created since the 24th March?

I contacted support on Monday and went through it in detail yesterday but they told me there hadn't been other reports of this issue.

Thanks,

Stewart

I was told by my previous accountant that they all have their own problems, some have better payroll than others and the support can all be rubbish.

Sometimes it's better the devil you know!  I reckon that's what they rely on...

I've just checked out the QBO App on my iPhone and it's pretty painful.  I couldn't add an attachment exactly as you described.  Also I couldn't see attachments that are already there which I added on the QBO web client.  I see that others are complaining about this on the forum too.

I’ve successfully got a deposit created today automatically with the correct payments, all payment / payout ID’s are correct.

It’s also created payments containing Monday and Tuesday’s GC Fees and no payments so I’m going to have to remove them - I’ve no idea why these have been created.

Good luck everyone :)

Oh dear lord, they’ve actually fixed it!!!!

I went to post a large payment in today’s payout and found it had been posted in with the full reference - YEE HAH! Not that you can see the reference in the customer transaction view, but it’s there if you open the payment so I’m not going to nit-pick.

However, I am devastated that they fixed this today, Thursday 9th, and not yesterday, Wednesday 8th.

Why?

Because my 4 payments today got posted in for me and so did the 10 payments I’ll get tomorrow, but the 308 I received yesterday have not! 😪

I just have to keep repeating to myself that this is the last time I have to do this...

Mine was fixed on the 8th strangely enough.  Have you had the bogus deposits made containing just previous GC fees?

Also, it’s a shame that pressing “View Reply” on the notification email about your post doesn’t view the actual reply.  I’m still having to use an incognito window to use the community.  It just doesn’t work otherwise.

Strangely, mine has not been fixed. I’m still doing the workaround daily. Is everyone else fixed?

So today a Gocardless transaction automatically matched in the banking screen for me. The first time in a few months since all this started.

However…..

I noticed that my quickbooks and bank balance figured were not matching. Upon further investigation, I’ve noticed that a handful ofl banking deposits have been created by Gocardless and the total amount of them equals the amount my balances are mismatching.

@SEdmunds I think you mentioned something like this happening to you?

Is this happening to everyone? Has anyone found a resolution and are QB aware?

Thanks

@DClelland Yes, that’s what happened with me - see above.  I’ve been battling to get my accounts to balance too and I finally spotted there was a bogus deposit on Saturday just containing the GC fee from one of the transactions I’ve manually processed.  How on earth it created one on Saturday I’ve no idea.  I’ve reported back via email this was happening and they have ignored me…

I did receive an update however yesterday :

“Thank you for being a valued QuickBooks customer. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us regarding the behavior you've encountered while using your QuickBooks Online product.
We're glad to let you know that the fix has now been rolled out, and GoCardless deposits/payments are once again being automatically generated in QuickBooks Online going forward.
The team is currently completing the remaining work to backfill any deposits/payments that were missed while the issue was ongoing.
While this backfill work is completed, we would like to inform you that you can manually record any GoCardless payments affected before the fix, as per the below steps. Note this only applies to invoices from before the fix was rolled out — if you'd rather wait, no action is needed on your end, and we'll be in touch once the backfill is ready.
Step 1 – Locate the relevant invoices — Locate the GoCardless invoices in QuickBooks Online that are showing as unpaid.
Step 2 – Check your unpaid invoices — Review your list of unpaid invoices in QuickBooks Online. For each unpaid invoice, verify whether payment has already been received by checking either your GoCardless account or your bank account directly.
Step 3 – Click 'Receive Payment' — Open any invoices which have been paid and are showing as unpaid in QuickBooks Online. Once the invoice is open, select the 'Receive Payment' button which will open the payment screen.
Step 4 – Link to the correct customer and bank account — Within the Receive Payment screen, ensure the payment is connected to the relevant customer, the correct bank account, that it's for the correct amount and that it's dated on the correct date.
Step 5 – Batch multiple invoices (optional but recommended) — If you have several unpaid GoCardless invoices, you do not need to process each one individually. You can select all open invoices and create a single Receive Payment to cover them all in one action, saving you time.
Step 6 – Save the payment — Once you are happy with the details, save the Receive Payment. Your invoices should automatically update to show as 'Deposited' and will appear accordingly in the bank history of the relevant account.
Separately, you may notice that some GoCardless transactions currently appear in your reports without their payment reference. This is a display detail only — your payment data itself is accurate. We're working to restore the missing references, and there's nothing you need to do.”

What a mess.

Thanks for the heads-up @SEdmunds . Did you resolve it and get your balances right again? Did you just delete the deposit in question? Did it only happen once?

I think about 4-5 bogus deposits have been created in my account
