Hello there bill119,

I know that many users like you enjoyed the benefits of the QuickBooks Online desktop app for Windows or Mac. As you say, it enabled you to access multiple companies from multiple tabs, simplifying your workflow. There are a couple of options for doing this while using an internet browser to access QuickBooks, so I'll give you a hand.

The first option is to open each company in a different browser. For instance, you may log in to Company 1 using Google Chrome, Compay 2 using Firefox, and Company 3 using Microsoft Edge. Accessing one company from a normal browsing window and another from a private browsing window should also do the trick, such as Google Chrome and Incognito.

If you're an accountant or a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and have access to QuickBooks Online Accountant, you can open multiple tabs by accessing the Accountant Tools and using the option to open a New Window. This allows you to access multiple companies from one browser.

If you'd like to submit feedback to our product developers, they'd love to hear your thoughts on incorporating an option to work on multiple companies from one browser. Access the Gear icon then hit Feedback to have your voice heard.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your week!

Please bring back support for the app. Your note mentions little use but I would wager most use is from your ProAdvisors!!! Maybe send out a survey for your key ProAdvisors to reconsider the app - it saves so much time in productivity and the pain of accidentally closing the browser, etc. I amended the title so others can find this thread in light of the new notice today. I would even be willing to pay a (small.reasonable) monthly fee for the app.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this @katie43. QuickBooks Online Accountant users have the benefit of being able to use multiple tabs from their Accountant Tools. I mentioned this in my above response. You can learn more about the Accountant Tools at your disposal by checking out this article: Use accountant tools and features in QuickBooks Online Accountant. I hope you'll consider submitting some official feedback on this as well though the Gear icon so that our product developers can hear your suggestions firsthand. I'll be sure to pass this along to my team as well to be sure that everyone knows just how well-loved the QuickBooks Online desktop app truly is. I hope you have a good day!
