Hi Todd,

Making sure your T4 has the right info is a good business practice. I'd be glad to point you towards the right direction with amending it.

To accomplish this you'll need to contact our support team using this link here. One of our specialized payroll agents will be happy to take a look at your T4 and help make the appropriate adjustments.

In the meantime, check out this helpful resource regarding T4s in QB Online: How to prepare T4 slips and summary. Don't hesitate to ask questions in the comments below.

Hey,

My company's pay is semi-monthly it means we pay our employee on 18th and 3rd of each month. While i try to generate T-4 the quickbook gives me T-4 from 1st Jan to 31st dec. But in actual my company's T-4 should've started from 18th Jan 2021 to 3rd Jan 2022. Please assist me in this.

Thank you

T4 are driven by when employees are paid. So you wouldn't amend.

I must have done something wrong and now I need to amend a couple T4's.  When I did the bonus, I noticed that it again deducted employees the RRSP - so I went in QB and zero'ed those out.  But I did not zero out the employer amount only the employee amount.  Then when I did the remittance for RRSP I noticed the employer amount was wrong and so I made a JE to zero the bonus employer amounts out.  Now when I am doing the T4's the box 14 is correct but box 13 and 26 both have the "employer amt that I did JE in it' so they are overstated.  How do I amend this - or did I code the JE wrong, or is this an error from when I zeroed out the amount on bonus cheque?
