Audit Report in QB Desktop

Is there a way to get an audit report that is farther back than 2 years?

Thank you,

Janice

Audit Report in QB Desktop

Yes, there is a way, Janice. We can select the report period to Custom and manually set the year. I'll walk you through each step of the process to ensure it's clear and straightforward.

The Audit Trail reports provide valuable historical documentation, which enhances accountability and transparency. To pull this up, here are the steps you can follow:

  1. Head to the Reports menu, then Accountant & Taxes.
  2. Choose Audit Trail.
  3. Beside the Date Entered/Last Modified area, set the field to Custom.
  4. Pick your desired date manually.

If you want to download the report, click Export. Select the Create New Worksheet option, then hit Export. Please see the attached screenshots for visual reference.

For future reference, you can memorize your report. This feature streamlines the entire customization process and saves you the hassle of redoing it.

Following the steps above ensures you can obtain a copy of your Audit Trail report. I'm still here to help if you require further clarification on this or any other matter.

Audit Report in QB Desktop

I have done that but I only get data from 2023 not any farther back than that. But here's the problem. I can get the report for Jan to Dec 2023 but I cannot export into Excel. I know it's a large file so it gets to a certain point and the closes QB out. I also cannot scroll down to the bottom of the report in QB. It does the same thing. I get to a certain point and it closes QB. I can do week by week for the report but those reports do not line up with the full year report, so I don't understand how QB generates this report because if I go Jan 01 to 07, that report should run the same information as the full Jan to Dec report - but it doesn't. I thought saving the report as you instructed would work but I cannot verify if it has everything and I don't believe it has. When I run Jun 01-07 it generates in Excel 27466 lines. The csv file for the full year only generates 32767 lines. That just shows me that it is not correct.

Not sure what to do from here.
