It's important that you receive payments from your customers for the services you provide. QuickBooks Online Payments is a great tool able to process payments for invoices you've sent your customers. I can provide some information about payment methods.
For the Canadian version of QuickBooks Online Payments, there is the option for the customer to use the Pay now button on the invoices you've emailed to them, or there is the option for you to manually key in the credit card information when creating the payment or the sales receipt. There isn't the option to use a card reader to process the payments for credit cards. I can see that this is a feature that you'd like to see to help you with processing payments for your customers. I recommend submitting feedback in the system by clicking on the Gear icon, then Feedback. The comments made in that section are considered when our developers when creating new features for the program.

Hi Alex thanks for the input. I dont bother submitting feedback anymore as I have been doing so for years and none of my requests get pushed forward. I can only imagine the backlog the developers are dealing with when it comes to feedback anyway.
I would love to use QB for on site payment processing but unfortunately I have to use square for the cost savings in processing fees. I also get paid quicker when processing payment on the spot.
Would you happen to know the reasoning for not having a QB card reader in Canada?
