I am using Profile version 2021.5.0 in Windows 10. I recently tried to prepare 2021 T1 for some of my late filling client, the tax return is almost complete and just waited for missing info. Next day I opened Profile tax software and suddenly experienced the following errors:
1- C:\Windows\System32\d3d9.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error(0xc000012f)
2- Error with CefSharp.Core.dll which is gone now after clean uninstall and 4 times installation so far.
3- Access violation at address 00959AD0 in module 'profile.exe'. Read of address 00000000.
After four attempts of installing Profile version 2021.4.7 because I don't have version 2021.5.0 (Last in 2021) I am still experiencing the error messages as on 1 & 3 above in addition to flexible license credential that I can't enter it and plus the already filled out tax forms that Profile Form Explorer can't display it and I can't E-file my client 2021 tax return due to above errors and T183 issue. By the way I also Installed the latest Profile version 2022.0.5 but still couldn't solved my problem and I well aware why and I just need help and that's it.

Just to follow up:
After several Uninstall and Install attempts and over 2 hours with Intuit -Profile online technician, no soluation
with d3d9.dll,CefSharp.Core.dll, blank form explorer, no file saving, no printing and no E-filing.
- I just copied the gpsetup version 21.4.7.0 to a jump driver without it's properties.
- Install the gpsetup into my second laptop and basically followed the instructions.
- Once Profile license dialogue appeared. Boom all are set and done. SOLVED.
- I think even clean Uninstall won't erase or delete the hidden files and the only way to get rid of them is to
Re-Install Windows/Mac.
-You need to implement online repair tools to fix the the files errors.
-You need to fix the product license issue due to Windows or Profile crash.
-You need to give your customers the option of installing the same version
of Profile before the crash, instead of forcing them to install the latest version which would create license issue.
-You need to stop posting any intial new version of Profile e.i 2022.0.5 before Dec. 31 because it is
not functioning and won't be approved by CRA. till February next year, so what is a point of updating a tax software that won't work.
-You need to post/upload the Profile installation file (gpsetup.exe) with detailed version on your Website to allow your customers to choose and then let them update it to later version.
-You need to fix the Windows compatibility issue with SYSTEM 32 and X86 on Windows 10 and 11.
- You need to fix the problem with clean Uninstall and Install via Windows 10 because the same dll files are present (d3d9.dll and CefSharp.Core.dll), error messages, can't open forms, can't
manage the flexible license detail because no dialogue box wants to open, and I just pissed off.
- Please leave your tax software running with already paid license till the end of December and focus on online repair tools specially for a tax professional whom they worked a year around and try your best to catch with evolving Windows current operation system. Thanks
