It's so important that you can log out of your QuickBooks Online account in order to keep your account secure. If you've got other people using your computer, logging out is the best way to ensure your private information stays private. I'll help show you where the Sign Out button is.
Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner of the page. Then, click Sign Out. Here's a photo of what you should see:

There have been some changes since this thread was originally posted, and the reason you're not seeing the logout option under the Gear icon is because it's moved. Now you can find it by selecting the circular icon to the right of the gear, where you'll see a button Sign out. Here's a look at what that looks like now.
Give that a shot and it should get you on your way. I did notice that you've also commented in the QuickBooks US Community previously as well. My steps are for QuickBooks Online Canada, since that's the section of Community this thread is in. The logout option for the US version of QuickBooks Online may be the same as QuickBooks Online Canada, but if you're still not seeing the option where I've now highlighted and you're using the US product, it could be that it's different for the US.
