Running your business with QuickBooks Online is such an awesome way to save time and effort with your bookkeeping. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to review your financial data, and it's important that you can make the most of what the program has to offer. I'll explain what kinds of graphs and visuals are available within the account.
The primary place to review report information in graph format is on the Dashboard. This is the main page you see when you log into your account. The Dashboard will display your invoices, expenses, profit and loss, and sales details in graph format.
The other place you can look to see information in graph format is within the reports centre. Click the Reports tab on the left navigation menu, then click the Business Snapshot report. This report will display graphs for the following information:
My Income
My Expenses
Previous Year Income Comparison
Previous Year Expense Comparison
Other than the Dashboard and the Business Snapshot report, other report details would have to be created into a graph outside the program.
I think it would be really handy to have the option to generate graphs from your reports within QBO. I'd be happy to pass on your thoughts about this to my team. I'd recommend submitting feedback on your end as well. You can do this by clicking the Gear icon > Feedback.

Hello txbquser. The steps provided by Patricia above are for QuickBooks Online. Since you're using QuickBooks Desktop, I encourage you to take advantage of the Insights tab that allows you to view your data in graphs. Here's a screenshot for visual reference:

Hello JamesM4,
Thank you very much for your response. A specific graph report I was trying to create is several specific income lines over multiple years. I can run a report with this data and export to excel to generate a graph, however was seeking a way to generate custom graphs within QuickBooks. The data is there, just in numerical format. If there is a way to generate custom graphs, please let me know.
Thanks again for your response!
