Hi all,
If I move bank accounts will I loose all of the previous transactions loaded onto my self employed quickbooks account? At present I have an HSBC business account but like to move to Starling in order the monthly charge. Many thanks
Hello PRT Arch,
Welcome to the Community page,
So you would only loss your previous transactions if you where to delete that account with HSBC so it would just be a case of leaving the account as it is all connected however just to warn you, you will most likely see an error to prompt you to update it that you would just have to ignore that message in your account.
Thanks Ashleigh1. One more question, so if I closed my HSBC bank account then that would fine, I just to need to keep the HSBC connection shown on my Quickbooks account?
Hi there, @PRT Arch.
Yes, you can keep the HSBC connection shown on my QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account. You can also turn it off from your settings to hide all its transactions. Doing this keeps your data and allows you to activate it again.
If you delete the account, this action is permanent and removes all related transactions. For more info, refer to this article: Delete bank and transaction data in QBSE.
Once you move to Sterling, you can connect it or manually upload your transactions with a CSV.
