We noticed you post the same question in the US Community. Are you using QBD US version or UK version?

It depends on which QB Desktop year version do you have and need. If your existing version is not too old, you can restore the backup file on QB Desktop 2021 easily. You may also consider purchasing QB Desktop 2019 with a one time license to lower your cost.
