Good job for turning on the Import Style feature in QuickBooks Online. You can use our samples and use them as references in creating and adding new designs. Here's how: 

1. Go to the Gear icon and click Custom form styles. 
2. From the upper-right, click the New style drop-down and select Import style. 
3. Select Invoice as the form type and then click Next.
4. Click the Download import guide link.

From the zip folder, you'll see a guide as to how you customize and enter additional fields. Click here for more detail on how to customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

I have tried a new word format. The problem I am facing is I cant see my items , tax, qty, line item total in the custom invoice format. Secondly, when we import a format there is no option to match line item, qty, rate or tax field please help.

I appreciate you for getting back to us here in the Community. Let me help you fix the invoice issue in QuickBooks Online.

When importing invoice templates, these fields should be available for you to map within QuickBooks. Since you're getting unusual results, the browser's stored cache may be full.

It can cause problems in the system, like the missing fields. I'd first suggest logging into your account using a private browser.

Use these keyboard shortcuts depending on the browser you're using:

• Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
• Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
• Safari: press Command + Shift +N

If the option to match is visible, let's switch back to the regular browser and clear its cache & historical data. This helps to restore the default setup of the browser.

In case private browsing doesn't work, use other supported web engine to get the best and most secure experience with the program.
