Anyone know why in the UK we are not allowed Customer Custom Fields, But in the USA this is a readily available feature?

Hi @deangorton,

I believe you're referring to the custom fields for QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced.

This feature is found in this article: Create and edit custom fields in QuickBooks Online Advanced. At this time, this specific version of QBO is exclusive to the USA. An estimated time as to when it will be released to other regions is also unavailable.

I suggest you keep an eye out on this page: The QuickBooks Blog. It lists new features that are out each month, along with its short description.

If you have other questions about the QBO product, let me know in the comments below. I'll be sure to take care of them.

Can you confirm when this version will go live in the UK and we will be able to use the "Customer Custom Fields" as is currently possible in the USA?

I understand this process wasn't easy for you, @deangorton.

I'd like to share ideas about customising fields in QuickBooks Online.

The option to customise fields is only available in QBO Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. I'll show you first how to turn it on under the Account and Settings page:

  1. Click on the Gear icon. Then, select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Sales tab and go to Sales form content.
  3. Under Custom fields, turn on the fields you want to customize.

Once done, you can now customise and add logos on your invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks.

You can always leave a comment if you have further questions about QBO and sales forms. Have a great day!
