Edit Draft invoice

New to this QuickBooks, I have just created an Invoice and saved it as a draft. I then went back to it and clicked edit from the drop down box but it opens up a new invoice with no client information.

All this was done from my laptop.

I can view and edit the same invoice from the mobile app on my phone but not on my laptop.

Any ideas what is going on or what I'm doing wrong

Thanks

NW

I appreciate your time visiting the Intuit Community, nsw1,

Let me get the help you need in creating Draft invoice.

I have checked this issue here in our system and we have received no reports from other users getting the same challenges upon creating Draft invoice.

To get this be fix, we can perform some basic troubleshooting steps like using an incognito/private browser.

Just follow the keyboard shortcuts below to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

Once able to open a private browser, try to open the saved draft invoice again and check if the client information is there.

I'd appreciate if you can update me on how it goes. I'll be here if there's anything else you need concerning your QuickBooks Self-Employed account. Have a great day!

I have the same problem. Quickbooks self employed is a nightmare compared to quickbooks online.

"Is it the case that you would like instructions on how to edit a draft invoice?"

Yes. For the love of God, yes.

Hi keanoroy

Once you have saved the draft invoice, select invoices on the left hand side menu, your invoices will be listed and the draft ones will display as a draft status, in the action column there is a drop down menu to the right of send invoice with the edit option.
