Multiple lines per product

Is it possible to have multiple lines per product/service as shown in the picture of the US version?

this is a seriously basic feature that I can’t seem to make work. All I get when I press enter/return is a new product/service which frankly is rubbish.

Multiple lines per product

Hello there, @Callum6.

I understand the need to be able to add multiple lines per product or services in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). As of now, the feature that you're trying to access in QBSE is unavailable. Since this feature isn't added yet, I'd recommend sending a feature request directly to our Product Development team. This helps us improve your experience and the features of the program.

To begin, here's how:

  1. On the upper-right corner, go to QB Assistant.
  2. Type Feedback, and then select Add a feature request.
  3. Enter a brief description of the feature that you'd like to add.
  4. Once done, Click Yes.

In addition, I've got you these articles for future reference:

Multiple lines per product

It’s hardly a feature though it’s just common practice with any form.

it also appears this has been requested numerous times over the last couple years

It looks like it’s possible to do on quickbooks online as well. So it’s only the uk self employed version that doesn’t have it.

Is quickbooks online suitable for a sole trader who isn’t vat registered?

Will I still be able to do my self assessment with it?

Hello Callum,  We recently added an income tax function to Quickbooks Online, at the moment it works for users who have no allowable expenses(though more functionality will be added), more details can be found here

You can use Quickbooks Online without being VAT registered it is just a case of leaving the VAT turned off.

The Self Employed product unfortunately has never had the option to add products and services so you could have multiple lines you can only use the default option.

Sorry so I could use online but wouldn’t be able to use it to input my expenses?

Hello Callum6, yes you can use our online package and use expenses if you not VAT registered then you dont need to activate VAT or you can have NO VAT set as your default tax code from within the settings section in Quickbooks.

My thought process is not so much about multiple lines but being able to wirte product and services into a list that can be selected, Currently they all seem to replicate from every invoice. My previous experiance with quick books and not Self employed was this was possible
