Hi
Over the past 7 days when I enter a description on my invoice sometimes when I save it shows vat error. If I cut and paste the description then save it accepts it. Any help very much appreciated
I appreciate you reaching out and bringing this to our attention, Felix.
In the meantime, we recommend confirming that you have added the correct VAT when saving the invoice, as this ensures that the VAT provided in your invoice is accurate.

Hi Claire
Thank you for your reply. I have attached a screen shot of what is happening. It is asking for a vat amount to be applied even though it is just a description of the work carried out. It never used to ask for this and if I copy and paste the description it will accept it when I click save. I really need to enter the
description at the top of the invoice fields like I have always done in the past
Thank you
Julie
Hi
I am still getting the vat error message when I just enter what I have done in the description column. I copy the wording, delete the row then paste it in another row then it saves it. This is taking too much time to create an invoice. Can enyone help please? I have put screen shot below
Hello there, Felix.
I understand how time-consuming it can be to deal with recurring VAT error messages in QuickBooks Online (QBO), and I appreciate the screenshot you provided. I'm here to assist you in resolving this issue.
The error you are encountering is caused by old cache data. Since your manual workaround is effective, it suggests that the browser may be holding onto a corrupted script for that specific page.
To resolve the problem, I recommend trying some basic troubleshooting steps. First, use a different supported browser installed on your system as a backup. Alternatively, you can open an Incognito window by pressing "Ctrl + Shift + N." This will give you a clean session without any old data interfering with the page.
If the issue persists, I suggest contacting the Live Support team for further assistance.
