Can i change a transaction type?

Welcome and thanks for visiting the Community, @ken52.

You're referring to the transactions on the register, correct? If so, the ability to change their type is currently unavailable. As a workaround, you can either delete and recreate them with the correct type or change their mapping if they're imported transactions.

Here's how to delete them:

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), go to the Accounting menu at the left pane to get to the Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click the Account history under the Action column on the account they're posted.
  3. Select the transaction, then tick Delete.
  4. Hit Yes to complete the process.
  5. Once done, you can now recreate them.

On the other hand, if they're imported, consider checking out this article for the detailed steps on how: Import bank transactions using Excel CSV files.

Please leave a comment in this thread if you have any other issues or concerns. I'll be more than willing to assist. Have a wonderful day!
