Desktop version errors

Since the latest update windows version keeps having errors if not used for a couple of hours meaning having to close, restore and log back in which is very frustrating.

It defeats the advantage of windows desktop version as it effectively is logging out all the time.

Only seems to have occurred since the prompt for a mobile number which I skipped as I don't want yet more time to log in.

Also now appearing on every invoice near the top is a pop up on every new invoice advertising accept credit/debit card payments I DON'T want this and cannot seem to remove it takes up space on the screen.

Quickbooks - these are NOT improvements please fix and remove the annoying advert linking to PAYpal.

To add to the frustration not only do i go round in circles on the "helpline" but the post has "errors"

I really need to find a better solution than QB

Hello Cwright1,

Welcome to the Community page,

What are theses errors you getting exactly?

Could you send us a screenshot of them so we can have a look into it for you?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if that makes any difference for you if not could you try that, please?

You would think uninstalling and reinstalling would be easy but it isn't i am waiting to ascertain which version of quickbooks my accountant uses - why do es there have to be so many variations and why is it not shown on my account ?

The adverts appear on both web and desktop so not sure why you would need a screen shot - they appear on everyones screen i would imagine as an irritating space consuming ad.

Fortunately the offer runs to 10th November so should hopefully disappear then but why do QB make the whole thing so difficult.

Following, as I too want to use the 'now is a good to take card transactions banner' every time I log in and try and do something.  I'm Using QBO, but it may be similar process to 'opt out'.

Hi Cwwright1, We'll pass on your feedback about this. It will disappear after the offer ends. We spoke to our senior technicians to conform and there is not a way to remove it from popping up at all it will be a case of just closing it down.

Please do pass on - it is seriously annoying and unneccessary.
