Get 50% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months*
Buy nowI received the email that my data is now available in Quickbooks Online, but when I use the link to complete setup, it says "Your company is almost ready. We're moving your QuickBooks Desktop data to QuickBooks Online. We'll send you an email when we're done."
I've been trying to get this data converted for over 3 days. Is there anything I can do to reset it from this state so at the very least I could start uploading individual lists rather than trying to rely on the entire file to export?
Hi there, @pburton1.
Thank you for choosing QuickBooks Online (QBO)! I'm here to share some troubleshooting steps to help you move your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) data to QBO. This way, you can get your business running using your new program.
Yes, you can restart the export process since it hasn't yet transferred your data. Beforehand, I recommend running the Verify/Rebuild tool. There might be an issue with your company file causing this trouble with importing it. Verifying it will detect any damaged data and fix it by rebuilding. It also allows your QuickBooks software to refresh the data inside the company file.
First, rebuild your data by following these steps:
Then, run Verify Data again to make sure there's no error.
After that, make sure QuickBooks is up-to-date. Also, ensure that your company file isn’t too big to export. If so, you can condense it to remove any inactive list entries.
Finally, start the export process again.
Please let me know the result after following the steps above. I want to make sure this issue is resolved.
