Change company name, address, email address, EIN, and privacy settings

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I'll be happy to help share some additional steps to change your company details.  

If you're trying to create a new company file as what qbteachmt mentioned, let me walk you through how to do it.

Here's how:

1. Open QuickBooks.
2. On the No Company Open window, click Get Started.
3. On the Create New Company, enter information about your company and click Next.
4. On the Choose your industry and chart of accounts window, select the type of business that comes closest to describing your company.

However, if you want to edit your company information, let's change it on the Preferences pane.

Here's how: 

1. Select QuickBooks then Preferences.
2. On the Preferences pane, select My Company.
3. Change the company name, address, email address, and EIN.
4. Close the Preferences pane. 

Also, when you say privacy settings, are you referring to edit the setup for user accounts and passwords? If so, please follow the steps below: 

1. Select QuickBooks then Preferences.
2. On the Preferences pane, select Users & Passwords.
3. Double-click the username and make your changes. 
4. Close the Preferences pane.

Let's get your EIN changed. Since your EIN is linked to your Intuit account, you'll have to submit a request form to change it. 

Here's how:

1. Download and complete the Business Name Change template.
2. Prepare to upload the following supporting documents:
   1. Current government-issued photo ID (for example, national ID card, driver's license, passport)
   2. Proof of payment for the service or product: Bank statement showing the subscription payments, the account number, and your name.
3. Contact QuickBooks Desktop Support to submit the form, government-issued ID, and proof that you paid for the service or product via Intuit File Exchange.

You can also log in to camps.intuit.com to verify your new EIN.
