I don't know my administrator password

Some of my files were corrupted when I upgraded to Quickbooks 2016 for Mac. Data Services fixed the files but added an administrator password before accessing the files. The password that they provided worked last month, but now I cannot login.

Little bit of a jamb attempted to download the repair tool however can't complete the process because I get an error wrong information. I tried several passwords old and new and continue to get the same error message.

I can't log into my QB's program because I am directed to log in as an admin same problem as with the pass word tools.

Thanks in advance

I can share some information to help you with resolving the error you have so you can log in to your account successfully, @roccosouth.

Since you're still unable to log in to your account, then I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support team. They have tools like screen sharing where they can further isolate the issue you're having and help you resolve it.

You can follow the steps below on how to reach them:

  1. From your QuickBooks Desktop account, click the Help menu at the top and choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Provide some information about this concern on the search box.
  3. Click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the window.
  4. You'll now be provided a few support options.
  5. Select Get a call to arrange a callback from a support agent. Or Start a chat to chat with them directly.

Here's the contact QuickBooks Desktop support article for more information about this. If you can't get into your account, we can still help. You can Message us to chat online with a QuickBooks expert. Here's how to start a QuickBooks Pro/Premier chat

I upgraded a quicken file to QB. After it converted the file it asked for a password. I entered what I thought was correct but then took me to a reset password screen which I went through and changed my password. When I log in it says the password is incorrect. I called customer support and worked with someone for 2 hours. She tried several different ways to change and reset my password with no luck. She then escalated it to data services but says it can take 6-8 business days to get a reply. This is totally unacceptable. It's the last day of the year and I have payroll for 25 employees on Monday not to mention I have bills to pay over the next 2 weeks. So you have any suggestions on how to resolve this sooner. Maybe another temporary license and account? Please help

Another license is unable to resolve it. Your last resort is purchasing a 3rd party password removal service.

don't match.  My computer is frozen and I can't close or open QB until I get an Admin password that works.

If the password doesn't work, double-check for any typos and confirm if the info matches with what's in CAMPS. If the same thing happens, use the Automated Password Reset tool.
