Cannot download Capital One

Thanks for dropping by here in the Community, philiphotog.

It would be my pleasure to lend a hand with any questions you may have with the Capital One bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I know how important downloading the credit card transactions on time on our system. Our engineers are already aware of the ongoing issue (INV-34512) reported by affected users and are working diligently with your bank to get rid of the error.

Since a workaround is unavailable yet, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Specialists. By doing so, your account will be on the list of the affected users who'll get notifications via email.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Log into your QuickBooks account.
  2. Click the Help option in the upper-right corner.
  3. Click the Contact us hyperlink.

I also recommend manually updating the bank account regularly to help determine if transactions are downloading back to normal. For your reference on how it's done, you can refer to the article I'm adding on this:

How to manually update bank accounts.

Get back to me if you have further questions with syncing bank transactions. I'm always available here in the Community.

Cannot download Capital One

Hello there, @Ereicha.

Thanks for letting me know about this. I'm here to share some updates about the bank error 9999 issue with Capital One Bank.

The error 9999 that occurs upon downloading bank transactions from the Capital One bank, was already fixed by our engineers. If you're still receiving the said error, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care Team so they can further isolate this matter for you.

Meanwhile, to get your work done, you can manually bring in transactions by downloading the transactions from your bank and upload the file to QuickBooks. To start, let's download the transactions from your bank's website.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your bank website and select the date range of transactions you want.
  2. Select an approved file type to convert transaction data to.
  3. Save the transaction file to your computer.

Please take note the name of the file and location so you can easily find it to upload. After that, please follow the steps below to upload the file to your QuickBooks Online account:

  1. Login to QuickBooks Online.
  2. On the left pane, select Banking
  3. At the top left, select the Banking tab.
  4. From the Update drop-down menu, select File upload.
  5. Select Browse, choose your transaction file.

For the detailed steps, the following article contains additional information about this process: How to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions.

Keep in touch if there's anything else I can help you with getting your Capital One bank feeds. I'll be happy to help you further. Take care!
