Error Code 9999

Hello,

 

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix error 9999. I have been on tech support 6 times now and they all just do the same steps and eventually say it's a "Back end issue". I have been unable to check my accounts for about 2 weeks which is just awesome as we go through this CV stuff. Very unprofessional... If you have any advice, please let me know!

Error Code 9999

Hello, christ17799. 

 

As of right now, the error code looks to be related to a script error that causes interruption between the connection of your bank and QuickBooks Online. For now, the best course of action you can take would be to bring in transactions through WebConnect. You can visit this article for instructions on that: How to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions. 

 

I would also suggest contacting the QuickBooks Care team so we can open a new investigation into this error in your name. They will be able to trace down the cause of the error and come up with a permanent fix. Follow these steps to reach them:

 

1. Click Help in the top right

2. Select Contact Us

3. Enter "Error 9999" in the Text box

4. Click Let's talk

5. Choose Get a callback

6. Type your Contact info 

7. Select Confirm my call. 

 

This will get you a call from a live agent as soon as one is available.

Error Code 9999

I have been having this same issue since April and supposedly they have been working on this issue since January of 2019 at least. Very frustrating since it is my main account I am having this issue with.

I checked our list of reported issues regarding the banking error 9999 and it's specific to a bank. Any additional information about your bank's name is greatly appreciated.

 

In the meantime, you can bring in your transactions through WebConnect. You may check out this article: How to upload more than 90 days of bank transactions.

 

Also, I recommend reaching out to our Phone Support Team. They have the tools that can add you to the affected user's list. This way, you'll receive an email directly from our engineers once updates are available, or once the issue is resolved.

  1. Go to the Help menu and click Contact us
  2. Enter your question something like banking error 9999.
  3. Click Let's talk and select the best way you'll want to connect with us.
