I just setup Square sync and it initially synced all transaction, but it has since stopped. It also did not sync customers although I selected to do so.

I'll help you fix this, mike398.

Mostly, sync issues are caused by the accumulated cache and cookies in the browser. To rule this out, you can try opening the app using an incognito or private window. Feel free to use these shortcut keys:

  • Ctrl Shift for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift for Firefox & Microsoft Edge
  • Command Shift for Safari

If it's now working well, go back to their regular browser and then, clear its cache to delete the accumulated junk files and improve your browsing experience. Switching to other supported browsers can also help resolve this issue. However, if the same thing happens, you can disconnect and then connect the app again to refresh the connection.

Lastly, here's an article that you can read to help manage your Square transactions in the program: Connect your Square account to QuickBooks Online

This is not the problem.  When I go to the banking section, I select Import transactions from Square and it is as if the Square app isn't even connected.  It takes me to the app section to install it.

I've also logged in from multiple workstations for the very first time and it does the same thing.

I can provide you with some additional information that will assist you in integrating your Square app transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO), @mike398.

Try to check if you're using the Connect to Square app to automatically import your sales transactions from your Square account and not the Sync with Square app. Refer to this link for more information: Connect to Square.

If you're using the Sync with Square app in QuickBooks Online, make sure to disconnect it first. Check out this article on how to disconnect the app and connect your Square account to QuickBooks so you can easily import your sales transactions: Connect your Square account to QuickBooks Online.

Once done, you can now go to the App transactions tab in your Banking menu to review the transactions and add them to your books. See this article for more information about reviewing your downloaded transactions in QBO: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you need further help about syncing your app and QuickBooks or anything else, by leaving a reply below. Keep safe and have a great rest of the day!
