reconciliation report

I have a large monthly bank statement to reconcile, averaging 400K to 600K deposits and withdrawals.

Compounding the issue - we not only write checks directly out of QB, but some employees carry pocket checkbooks and write checks when they need to.

Is there a way to print what I have reconciled so far so I can compare things to try to find what I missed?

It's my pleasure to guide you in printing your reconciliation report, @gloriadeb204

Yes, you can. And please note that you can only get reports for the last 120 reconciliations in QuickBooks Desktop.

Here's how you can print your previous reconciliation report:

  1. Go to the Reports menu, then go to Banking and select Previous Reconciliation.
  2. Select the account you reconciled from the Account drop-down menu.
  3. Select the reconciliation period you want to review in the Statement Ending Date section.
  4. Select Detailed or Both for the report type. We recommend Detailed if you're using the report to fix a reconciliation.
  5. Select which transactions you want to see on the report:
    1. Transactions cleared at the time of reconciliation: This gives you a snapshot. It only shows transactions in the account at the time of the reconciliation.
    2. Transactions cleared plus any changes made to those transactions: This shows transactions in the account at the time of reconciliation. It also shows where they currently are in your accounts.

Once done, select Display. Then, click the Print option at the top menu bar.

Hello,

Could you please let me know how to get a Statement Ending Date past the oldest date provided on the Previous Reconciliation Report screen? The last transaction showing is 01/04/2021 and I need December of 2020. I did see that you can only receive the last 120 transactions, I would need just a few transactions past the 120 limit. If there is anyway to receive this information, I would greatly appreciate it. Does the QuickBooks ONLINE version have a limit of 120 as well? Or is there a higher limit/no limit for the ONLINE version? Going forward, I will save the reconciliations as a PDF file.

I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you!!!

Hi LightingSales,

In QuickBooks Desktop. You can only get the last oldest transaction (date) on the available reconciliation reports. Go to Reports > Banking > Previous Reconciliation.

In QuickBooks Online, you can only add 124 transactions per reconciliation as well.

Going forward, if you'll have more than 120 or 124 transactions per period, just split your reconciliation.

Let me know if you have other questions in mind.
