How do i delete past due tax forms

Hi there, kelly126.

I'd be glad to provide some information about deleting past due tax forms.

You can archive that payroll tax form so that it'll not show as overdue.

Here's how:

  1. On the left pane, select Taxes.
  2. At the top left, select the Payroll Tax tab.
  3. Under Forms, click Quarterly Forms
  4. Click the form you want to archive.
  5. Choose the liability period.
  6. Click Archive.

Here's an article about archiving forms in QuickBooks Online: Archive (save) a form that I have filed.

I'll also be adding this article that you can use in printing payroll report: View and print payroll reports

For additional support, feel free to reach out to our Payroll Support. They have the tools that can help you get to a resolution in no time.

Don't hesitate to add a comment below if you have any other payroll tax form concerns. I'm always here to help!

How do i delete past due tax forms

I'm currently using the Core version of QB online payroll.  It's new to me.  I recently transitioned from an online Intuit payroll product for MACs that is being discontinued.  I don't see the same menus/navigation you are referring to.  When I click on Payroll Tax in the left pane, I only see a toggle for Payments and Filings.  In Filings, there are 3 "Past Due" state tax forms for Q4 2020 and 1 "Past Due" state tax form for Q1 2021.  All were submitted and paid manually (outside of QB, before transitioning to Core).

I appreciate you getting back to us, kelly126.

Since the steps above didn't work, I'd recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Support so they can help you with archiving the past due forms.

All account-related concerns need to be directed to our phone support for security purposes. Unlike in this public forum, they have the tools required to perform any escalations or bypass the system whenever necessary on your behalf.

To ensure we address your concern on time, check out our support hours. Here's how to get in touch or chat with us:

1. Click the Help (?) icon.

2. Choose Contact Us.

3. Enter a  brief description of your situation in the What can we help you with? area, then click Let's talk.

4. You'll be presented with a few options for connecting with Intuit. Select Chat with us.

Additionally, I'll be sharing with you this article: Payroll 101. It contains more information about the different types of compensation as well as on what are the types of federal forms you need to file. Also, this will provide you a sample breakdown of a paycheck.

Anytime you have questions about payroll or anything in QuickBooks, you can post them here and I'd be happy to answer. Have a good one!
