My payroll is pulling from a 'Business Checking' account instead of my normal operating account, does anyone know how to stop this?

Hello there, dg-.

 

There could be a few reasons why your payroll is pulling from the Business Checking account instead of your normal operating account in QuickBooks Online Payroll. When does this behavior happen? Have you made any recent changes to your bank account details or payroll settings?
 

The Business Checking account may be set as the default account for payroll transactions. You can check and change this setting in the payroll preferences. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll settings.
  2. In the Accounting section at the bottom of the page, click the Edit icon.
  3. Under Paycheck and payroll tax payments section, double check the used account. If incorrect, click the Edit icon again.
  4. Select the Bank account drop-down arrow. Then, choose the appropriate account.

I've already done this and it still continues to create the generic 'Business Checking'
