Join nowHello,
I am trying to help a business who has an Enhanced Payroll subscription.
In Illinois, we are required to file monthly wage reports, which are informational, with the Illinois Department of Employment Security, in the 1st and 2nd month of each quarter. The business that I am helping is currently creating a .CSV file from their Desktop QB to then go to MyTaxIllinois to upload the info.
My clients who I have on my Online Payroll for Accountants wholesale service (sunsetting soon, I realize) just have to one button push these reports every month.
I cannot figure out how to get this report "turned on" in Enhanced - is it possible?
Thank you!
Hello there, @lupabrava.
Like in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can run the Payroll Summary or, Payroll Details report in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Then, convert the report to a .CSV file after exporting it into an Excel file so you can file monthly wage reports to the Illinois Tax Net web application.
I'd be happy to show you how to pull up the report:
For more information about running payroll reports in QBO, see this article: Run payroll reports.
You can also check out this reference if you'd like to modify your reports: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks Miriam.
We are on Enhanced Payroll for Desktop.
We know how to get the .csv.
I am trying to figure out how to not have to do that work.
I am trying to get the filing of that monthly return into the list of available forms to be able to efile it right from QB payroll, as we do for the Quarterly.
Thanks again.
Hi lupabrava,
As of the moment, we're unable to file a monthly wage report in a form format, like the 941 forms. Just continue with the CSV form at the moment. Then, feel free to suggest this idea to our product development team so they'll know your clients need that feature.

Thank you.
At least I know now!
Thank you.
Now we know it's a no!
