Unable to send direct deposit payroll Message Code 2103

Went to submit a payroll I've been processing regularly since 2009 and received the message code above that the amount of direct deposit payroll was over the limit???  What is going on!!  This is unacceptable.  I need to send this payroll now, and no paper checks are available for this client.

Unable to send direct deposit payroll Message Code 2103

Hello, @dso0216. Let's go over this issue about direct deposit limits when you process payroll in QuickBooks and I'll be glad to show you how we can resolve it.

You get this error message about direct deposit limits because, QuickBooks set limits on how much money you can send via direct deposit for your security.

If you still want to process these payments by direct deposit, you'll need to request a direct deposit limit increase.

Here's the following steps you can take to make sure your team gets paid thru direct deposit:

Step 1: Understand direct deposit limits
Step 2: Find out what your direct deposit limits are
Step 3: Request a direct deposit limit increase

For more detailed steps, you can refer to this article: Get help if you’re over a direct deposit limit

I'd also suggest reaching out to our Desktop Payroll support. This way, you can  do some screen sharing with the agents and guide you through the resolution process.

Here's how:

  1. Click Help at the top menu bar, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Select Contact us and then enter that you get Reminder prompts and Continue.
  3. Then choose either to Message an Agent or Talk to a Specialist.
