Error message doing inventory adjustments

I'm trying to do Inventory Adjustments to close year 2022.  When I click save , I get the message:

Problem: Creating or modifying this transaction will cause one or more builds to become pending.

Solution: If you want to proceed with this transaction, click Mark Pending to save your changes. You can check the Pending Builds Report to see which builds are pending.

So I click Mark Pending, then I get a window that says Working: Record Transaction.

Then I get an error message.  Error Encountered: QuickBooks is unable to complete this operation and needs to restart.  Quickbooks will restart automatically.

Then I click OK and it closes and does not restart automatically.

It's happened at least 8 times in a row.  Reading an old response in this community, I tried to verify data in the file menu and it did a rebuild after making a backup. It says it found and resolve some errors

Lists error 190 error 317

Payroll service data error (2)

Transactions error 179

then I tried again to do an inventory adjustment and it keeps doing the same.

I only have two days before presenting the results. Please let me know what to do.

I can see the urgency of this matter, @anna215.

To ensure that your file is safe from any potential data damage, we can perform a number of troubleshooting procedures. Before doing so, let's ensure that you are up-to-date with the latest release

Let's start by utilizing our QuickBooks Tool Hub. You can follow these steps to install and run these tools. This will scan your file and resolve some data errors. If still the same, you can restore your most recent backup copy. Make sure to secure a backup company file. You can check this guide here for your reference:  Restore a backup of your company file.

Installing QuickBooks Tool Hub will allow us to fix the file later. It is advised to utilize Windows 10 64-bit to use the Tool Hub for the best experience.

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.5.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop). If you've installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have. Select the Home tab.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Then, follow these steps to run the Quick Fix my File.

  1. From the tool hub, select Company File Issues.
  2. Tap on Quick Fix my File.
  3. Select OK when it completes and launch your QuickBooks.

If you have further questions about the process, let me know by commenting below. I'd be more than happy to answer it for you. Have a great day.
