Import 2009 files

I started using Quickbooks PRO Desktop in July of 2021.  I need to import my transactions from Jan 1st to June 30th.   My old version was Quickbooks Pro 2009.

How do I do this?

I tried downloading and importing but it did not work.

Import 2009 files

Good day, Railwood.

Let me share some information with you about importing old data from QuickBooks Desktop 2009.

Since QuickBooks 2009 is an outdated version, you can gradually upgrade your company file from 2009 to 2012 and then to 2021. The trial links for unsupported versions of QuickBooks are no longer available.

To help you get those links and guide you through the process, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They can pull up your account and help you with this. To ensure we address your concerns, our representatives are available from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturdays, PST. See our support hours and types for more details.

Also, I encourage you to check our import data article for more insights on importing your data into your software.

Feel free to get back to this thread if you need more help about importing files in QBDT. I'll be sure to help.

You may need to install the trial license of QBD 2011, 2015 and 2019 respectively to upgrade your file prior to opening it on QBD 2021. Contact us in private and we may share the trial codes or help upgrading the file directly to QBD 2021.
