Yes, you can still input checks, and deposits, create estimates, and reconcile accounts in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2022 version for recording purposes, OKC2025.

Since your use does not rely on online features like payroll, online banking, or credit card processing, you can still use the software locally for basic bookkeeping tasks.

However, it's important to note that the QBDT 2022 version will no longer receive the latest critical security updates, which might expose you to security vulnerabilities and compatibility issues with new operating systems.

I am locked out of my QB after not paying the subscription fee. How do I access my QB now?

You have to pay the renewal fee and switch to an older version as I mentioned earlier.

You can upgrade to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Windows 2023 R3 or newer, or QBDT for Mac Plus 2024 or newer, to access your account, OKC2025.

If you're using the latest version of QBDT, you’ll be able to use view-only access to your account for one year after your subscription ends.

Please note that in view-only mode you can view reports, but can’t create any transactions. We recommend you export your data before you cancel your subscription.

To upgrade to the latest version of QBDT, you'll need to reactivate your subscription first and complete the upgrade process. Here's how:

1. Sign in to the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPs) as an admin user.
2. Select QuickBooks Desktop from your products and services.
3. Click on Details next to your QuickBooks product.
4. Click on Edit next to your Payment Method, update your payment information, and then click Save and Close.
5. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
6. Go to the Help menu, hover over Manage My License, and select Sync License Data Online.

After reactivation, you'll be able to upgrade to the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop.
