Hi i need a 2001 pro version cd, i'm sure my 15 year old computer will die one day and i have misplaced the cd for my Quickbooks Pro 2001, does anybody have or know where i can acquire a disk.
Cheers
No help on the disk
but even if you were to rebuild the computer with the same ol' operating system and you re-installed QB, you could not get it registered with intuit.
and it will not install or work on newer computer operating systems, especially win10
Hi thewall58,
We appreciate your interest in purchasing older version of QuickBooks. However, QuickBooks Pro 2001 version is no longer supported. And, we're no longer distributing CD installers of it.
Let's try to wait for other users to jump into this thread. They might have a few pieces of advice where to get an installer.
Please also check out our website if you wish to upgrade to the latest version: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/desktop/pro/.
Have a great day!
Thanks for the replies i agree with everything you are saying, i'm running XP at the moment and if i was to get a new computer i would have XP installed to run the software, the reason i don't want to upgrade is because the computer is not on the internet and never will be all it runs is Quickbooks , maybe that's why it's lasted so long.
Hello again, thewall58!
We understand why you don't want to upgrade.
The latest versions of QuickBooks have a lot of features that the older ones don't have. You might want install our trial versions to see if you'd like it. Here's a reference: QuickBooks Desktop Trial Links.
If you have any questions, please post them here.
Hi GarlynGay i,m a one man band do work for a customer they pay me and i enter it into Quickbooks so as you can see my current version is overkill for me but i had a good del on it and it works great, it's just for my reference only my accountant or taxman never see it.
Hello thewall58,
You can try to search the executable file (.exe) for QuickBooks 2001 in your drive (C or D), and use it to reinstall the program. Once you're able to do it, you'll need to register the program again as what being mentioned by @Rustler.
If you can't see this executable file, we don't have other options for you but to upgrade.
We'll be right here to help if you have any questions.
Don't forget the the CD will contain the original version of 2001 and not any updates. Even if you could get it installed and registered, you probably can't get the updates needed to open your file.

This is so wrong.

it will NOT install the program

Hi, so if I purchased a copy of Quickbooks 2001, I would not be able to use it? Is that correct?
Thanks
If the seller can give you the activation code (not only installation + product code), you can use it. Otherwise, you should avoid buying it. Then you should upgrade your data immediately to QB Desktop 2021 with a non subscription license at least.
