Error On Phone App

I downloaded the quickbooks app on my phone but when I try to add an item to a invoice it says "error adding item". It doesn't do this on the desktop. Does anyone know why this is happening?

I've checked our records, HMA2. I haven't seen any open cases similar to yours. 

 

I'll share five steps to fix app-related issues. Check this article about troubleshooting Quick-Start Guide for the QuickBooks Online app for the detailed instructions. 

 

Once done, try to create an invoice again.

Error On Phone App

I have been struggling with this same problem for about two weeks now. I go to create and invoice on the mobile app for my customer and I click on "add product or service" I search for my product and get "error adding item" At first I thought it was a problem using Android version 9 because I had just got a new phone. The app worked perfectly with my new phone for about two weeks then this error started happening. The error only happens on certain items but they are items that I use consistently and have been in my quickbooks for a long time. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it many times. I have signed on as different users. I have had that user sign-on a different phone,  I have restarted my phone. Yesterday as I continued to investigate the problem my android phone using version 8 gave me the "error adding item" when I making an invoice. It seems to be intermittent and doesn't happen every time but it is happening enough that it is a disruption when standing in front of a customer and you can't complete their invoice to collect their payment. I have an Iphone user that is not affected by this problem.  It seems to be android users and it doesn't seem to matter what version. Let me know if you can provide some help.

I appreciate you attempting all the necessary troubleshooting steps to fix the error in adding an item using the mobile app. Since this is only happening using the android version, I'd recommend reaching out to our Online Support so they can further investigate.

 

Here's how to contact support:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?) at the top right.
  3. Select Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.

In the meantime, if you encounter the error again, it'd be best to access your company via any supported browser when adding items on your invoice.
