There are several reasons why you might be experiencing issues with your QuickBooks Pro Plus 2022 subscription getting stuck during an update. I'm here to guide you, Mihosa, through the process of resolving this.
Sometimes a simple system restart can clear up issues that prevent software updates from completing. You can restart your PC to close all programs and refresh the system.
Another option to resolve the issue is to right-click on the QuickBooks icon, select "Run as Administrator", and update again. This can help if the update process needs additional permissions.
Also, antivirus software can interfere with software installations. You can temporarily disable the antivirus and do the update again. However, if the issue persists, you can use the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub which will help you sort out the halting of the update problems.
To download and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub, follow the steps below:

Thank you for your prompt response, Miho.
I appreciate that you’ve already taken the steps to update your QuickBooks Desktop Pro to the latest version. Let’s clarify a few details about updating QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Has your subscription expired? If it has, that could be why you’re unable to finish updating QuickBooks 2022 (Plus). Once the subscription for QuickBooks 2022 (Plus) expires, updates for that version will no longer be accessible.
Just as a heads-up, QuickBooks 2024 Plus is no longer available for purchase. Your best options now are to transition to QuickBooks 2023 or consider QuickBooks Online, as we’ve continued to innovate and improve upon it. There are accounting products that can meet the needs of every customer, from the simplest to the most complex.
To help you with the transition, I’m also including this helpful article on importing your QuickBooks Desktop company file to QBO: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.

Thank you. my subscription has not expired.
after long wait for download, i was finally able to complete the update. i thought it stuck but just let it sit on the frozen download. after long wait (like 2 hrs), finally it was completed.
i tried the online version before (switch from desktop to online). the feature i used were not available and lose a lot of data i need... so i had to switch back to desktop.
its class, sub category, customer bill reference on bill - those are required.
This update requires you to disable "Cloud-delivered protection" and "Real-time protection" in windows defender temporarily.
Also, when you turn it back on after the update completes and you restart your computer, your merchant services credit card portal ceases to work, returning an error 500 internal server error. Turning "Cloud-delivered protection" in windows defender back off allows merchant services card processing to work again. Something for the Intuit Developers to take a look at, as it's not great to have to cripple your antivirus to run credit cards!
