Buy nowI have a time entry for an employee that is posted to the project & it shows up under the project. It also shows up when I pull a time report. However, if I go to the TIME tab - TIME ENTRIES - and bring up this employee's time for last week, the total time is short this time entry.
I tried having it added again, and now its showing up as a duplicate in the project & reports - but still not showing up in the the TIME tab.
Is there a known issue with QB time right now that would cause this to happen?
Thanks!
Thank you for reaching out and providing a detailed explanation of the issue you are encountering with time entries not appearing correctly under the Time tab, @lisa-2i-t-com. I understand how crucial it is to have accurate and consistent time tracking across all sections of the software, as this directly impacts project management and reporting. No worries, I've got a way to help you get back on track.
Firstly, it's essential to ensure that all filters and settings in the Time tab are configured correctly. If you enter a timesheet in the + New button, it won't show in the Time tab.
On the other hand, if you want the timesheets to be shown in the Time tab, you can delete the timesheets that you've created using the + New button.
However, if the timesheets won't still show in the Time tab, it's also important to verify that the time entry details are accurate. If the entry is mistakenly assigned to another employee or on the wrong date, it won't appear under the expected employee's weekly report.
Given the duplication issue you encountered, it's helpful to remove any additional entries that were added while trying to resolve this. Ensure that this is done carefully so that it doesn't affect the entries showing up correctly in the project and report sections.
Additionally, here's a handy article to help you track and manage your team members' timesheets in the future: Track and manage QuickBooks Time in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks for the info....
Looks like it wasn't showing up because the time was overlapping the previous entry.

@Candice C Can you or your team shed some light on why the +New method of adding time entries prevents the entries from showing on the Time entries tab?
The only difference between the two time entry pages is that one is labelled "Single time entry" while the other is labelled "Single day entry". I entered time both ways, and then queried with the API, and all relevant properties are the same between the entries, with no discernable differences.
My primary issue is that when adding time activities via the API, it seems to use the same method as the +New, which means that the only way to access those time entries is through a report, and the Time Entries page itself becomes useless.
Please Advise, Thank You!
